    <![CDATA[<strong>Author:</strong> <a href="https://www.msspeech-forum.com/member_profile.asp?PF=112">dknowledge</a><br /><strong>Subject:</strong> 77<br /><strong>Posted:</strong> 26/Apr/2009 at 3:23pm<br /><br /><P>We have WSR set up on a desktop with a lot of power:&nbsp; (HP dc7900, intel core quad CPU Q9650 @ 3.00 GHz/3.00 GHz, 4 GB RAM, 32 bit, Wind Vista Business).</P><P>Love the application.&nbsp; Even used to use Dragon Naturally Speaking up to 9.5 and took it off.</P><P>However - at random periods of time (sometimes 4 or 5 times a day), while&nbsp;"on" or "sleeping" it turns "off".&nbsp; It doesn't matter if a program is running or not.&nbsp; It doesn't do it on any type of consitent amount of elapsed time.&nbsp; It just turns "off".&nbsp; </P><P>To re-start it we can even start it from the WSR icon, we have to close it, and start it from start up program.</P><P>I have been all over the web and can find no logical answers.&nbsp; From everything I read - it's not supposed to turn "off" unless you turn it off manually, or you have a laptop running on battery power.&nbsp; But this is a desktop, and I've checked the power settings several time and nothing looks out of the ordinary.</P><P>Does anyone have any ideal why/how to stop WSR from turning off automatically?</P><P>Thx</P>]]>
