The noise suppression touted for this device is in the earphones and not the microphone. We've found Plantronics microphones to work OK in very quiet environments. A close talk microphone (headset, handheld or boom mounted) has a lower gain because it expects to pick up your voice from a close distance. A microphone on a computer notebook has a stronger signal pickup and will also pickup background noise which will degrade your voice signal.</DIV><DIV>&nbsp;</DIV><DIV>Marty</DIV>]]>
